Great game...except...

I play this game a lot under the strategy method. The problem is that the game ends prematurely. I am working on a high scoring word with plenty points left to make , and it just ends! Just now had 2000 points left to make and had an eight letter word ready to go. Knowing it could end I played only. Three letter word and it ended as though I made my points. Frustrating!
